Nick Mace

Nick Mace is a writer based in Texas, around which he wanders, at random, at all times of year. He writes and thinks about the United States of America and is endeavoring to, over time, render for you an America that is as far from God as probably any sociopolitical formation ever has been. In doing so, he intends to salt the earth, giving no quarter and executing all prisoners. Much of it will take place in Texas, because Texas supplies the people, places, things, speech, and manners he knows how to write. He hopes it will prove a suitable aperture for his vision.

His published work so far includes a spate of short stories in Apocalypse Confidential and Be About It Press. His first novel, SALOMON'S GARDEN, is forthcoming on Farthest Heaven in late 2026, and he is confident that the ambitions laid out here will make more sense once you buy and read it. Which you should do. He also has other, more scholarly output in other venues, but he's not likely to share those details with you very soon. His day trade is intellectual prostitution, i.e., lawyering.

Nick Mace's published short stories include:

MCCREARY V. STATE OF TEXAS

HAIL ARTHUR!
